COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Master’s course consists of theory lessons, workshops and product design classes. In this way students will acquire professional skills combined with a methodological awareness of the entire design process.
CHARACTERISTICS & AIMS
The Master provides overall competence in Industrial Design. It is oriented towards the solution of problems related to the individual and social application of the product, its form, production variables and technological process. The association with major brands in furniture design, consumer electronics among the others has the purpose of rounding off the education through workshops that develop creative design abilities. The product design faculty is made up of renowned designers, University tutors and researchers. The constant comparison to market and production demands, along with cultural and methodological preparation, build up solid professional groundings. Students can use laboratories for drawing, modelling and computer design equipped with the most advanced software. Upon selection the Master’s admits candidates with a degree in Product Design, Architecture, Engineering or equivalent, and students from product design courses or applied arts schools; candidates who have gained significant professional experience in the sector.

Duration : The Industrial Design Master's course lasts for one year (from October to November, with a summer break in august).There will be a minimum of 20 hours of lessons per week. Attendance is compulsory and full time.

Internship : At the end of lessons, students will start an internship in companies or studios of the sector.

The training pathway in transportation design deals with challenging themes for the mobility system. Students are involved in workshops, car design classes that go from concept to prototyping by analizing contemporary lifestyles, design trends, social and ecological issues, technological and production restraints. The Master’s in automotive design adopts the work methodology of professional styling centers. Projects carried out over the Master range from concept car design to the restyling of a production model. Students start from defining the identity of the vehicle: concepts, personality, innovative architectures to capture the attention of the consumer. The Master’s programme focuses both on exterior and interior design as the car is increasingly becoming seen as a space to live in. Upon selection, the Master’s admits candidates holding a degree in Car Design, Industrial Design, Engineering or their equivalents, students from Car Design schools; candidates who have gained significant professional experience in the field.

PROFESSIONAL OPENINGS
The Car Designer is able to face transportation design using a multidisciplinary approach. His work blends aspects of engineering, ergonomics, design and performance with environmental sustainability and social awareness. The interdisciplinare project work conducted over the course of the year consolidates the students’ knowledge and skills. The design is tackled by the different professional stages: definition of the concept and “look and feel”, architecture and navigation model, interface design and related tools, multimedia management, prototyping. Through the constant relationship with the primary web agencies, the Master’s programme offers a complete review of the most relevant topics in the professional world: css design, search engine opimization, interaction design. Upon selection, the Master’s admits candidates holding a degree in Web Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media design, Architecture, IT Sciences or their equivalents; students from Fine Arts schools with graphic/digital design orientation; candidates who have gained significant professional experience.

The fifth edition of the University Master in Interior Design organised in collaboration with the Faculty of Design at the Politecnico of Milan and the association Poli.Design. A course involving both theory and practical internships. The syllabus is theoretical lessons, workshops, visits and lectures. The in-class training is completed with three months internship in an architect’s studio.

The University Master MID concentrates on designing contemporary interiors. The five project works are fundamental tools to assimilate an effective professional methodology.
